Chris Van Pelt Selected to Participate in NAHB’s Leadership Academy to Help Prepare its Future Leaders for Success

Chris Van Pelt from Baton Rouge, Louisiana has been selected to participate in the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) 2025 Leadership Academy, an annual program for industry leaders designed to help elevate their leadership skills, build institutional knowledge, and inspire and prepare them to take on future leadership roles within NAHB.

Through its programming, future leaders will experience multiple aspects of what it means to be a leader in the home building industry, while defining their personal leadership style.

“We’re excited to kick off the second year of this program to help build the next generation of housing industry leaders,” said NAHB Chairman Carl Harris, a custom home builder from Wichita, Kan. “Members like these make it possible for NAHB to identify key industry issues, overcome challenges and fulfill our mission.”

The Leadership Academy will begin with a live kickoff session held during the 2025 NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas and will culminate with graduation at the 2026 NAHB International Builders’ Show. Sessions will feature guest speakers and industry leaders through a combination of in-person and virtual sessions. [Name] joins 14 additional participants as part of this cohort.

“I’m honored to be selected for the NAHB Leadership Academy and excited for the opportunity to grow as a leader in the home building industry”, says Van Pelt. “This program will allow me to learn from some of the best in the business, gain valuable insights, and collaborate with other professionals who are just as passionate about the future of home building as I am.”
