  • Specialty Glasswork

Are you ready to turn your house into something as beautiful as you’d find in a magazine? Specialty glasswork is a finishing touch that can take your home to the next level and bring your design dreams to life.

Whether you’re designing a new home or completing a renovation, it can take months to finalize these plans. While the final touches are exciting, they can also leave you feeling stumped. What’s the best way to showcase a larger space or lighten up a smaller area? How do you add clear lines of sight to a unique layout that beautify the room and reflects light? Custom glasswork is the answer.

We know that your house is more than a place to live. It’s a reflection of your style and where you gather with those closest to you. At M&M Glass, we specialize in custom glasswork, which means no idea is out of reach. Let us show you how we can bring your vision to life.

Custom Glasswork Made For Your Home

There are plenty of design cases when a premade or predesigned product simply won’t work. Whether your ideas simply stray from the norm or the dimensions of your space present a challenge, this is when custom glass is a great approach.

With specialty glasswork, you'll have the rare opportunity to have a piece that fits all of your wants and needs! Not only will your glass or mirror be tailored to perfectly fit your space, but it can also include unique design elements.

So, what do we mean when we refer to specialty glasswork or custom glasswork? Nothing is off the table, but these are some of the projects we’ve completed in the past:

  • Glass trophy or award cases
  • Sliding glass barn doors
  • Custom glass walls, shelves, and cabinets for bars or wine storage
  • Antique mirror doors
  • Kitchen backsplashes
  • Custom-fit arched mirrors
  • Textured, etched, or tinted glass
  • Cutout mirrors
  • Glass ceilings
  •

There are so many reasons to use custom glasswork within your home. In some cases, a textured window in the bathroom provides essential privacy. Other projects are purely stylistic and add a beautiful final touch. Either way, M&M Glass has decades of experience creating custom glass pieces for both residential and commercial settings.

Start Your Specialty Glasswork Project

From new builds to extensive renovations, M&M Glass can elevate your final design with specialty glass. When you’re ready to develop a plan for your space, we’ll come to your home for a free consultation.

We travel throughout Baton Rouge, Lafayette, New Orleans, and the Northshore, because we know that seeing your space and layout produces the best results. Whether you already have an elaborate idea or need us to suggest options, our team is ready to help.

Custom Glass Design

While some of our clients have a meticulous eye for detail and know exactly what they want, others are looking for inspiration and ideas. Wherever you are in your design process, we're here to help. After hearing about your vision, we will take extensive measurements to create a truly custom fit. Our goal is for your custom glasswork to look like it was meant for the space all along.

After we secure sizing details, it’s time to discuss specialty glass thickness and even stylistic upgrades. From beveled edges to rose-colored tints, we want to bring your idea to life! We want to create a look that is tailored to your unique style.

Depending on where your custom glass is being installed, we may also suggest important safety features. For example, tempered glass will break into thousands of small pieces to reduce the risk of injury to your family, while beveled edges can smooth out sharp corners.

The Estimate Process

After our meeting, you can usually expect to have an estimate within one business day. When you receive this, please let us know if it’s out of your budget or if there are any other changes you'd like to make.

We want to design beautiful specialty glasswork that is affordable for you. In most cases, there are ways to bring the cost down by swapping out various options. You should be able to showcase your home at a price that doesn’t use up your entire design budget.

Design Approval

Last, but not least, it’s time to finalize your design! Once we have a plan set in place, our team will get to work. We strive to provide communication every step of the way, so you always know when to expect your beautiful specialty glass.

If you have a question during the process, don’t ever hesitate to give us a call.

Installation

Installation is the final step of the process. Since we’ve been installing glass products for home and business owners for more than three decades, we’ve fine-tuned the process to make it as efficient as possible. Our installation protocols guarantee a safe and secure space for your family.

After we’ve completed the installation, we will clean the surrounding area. This allows you to start enjoying your specialty glasswork right away. Before we leave, our team will talk about care and maintenance for your new custom glass. We recommend several different products for keeping mirrors and glass shining like new.

At M&M Glass, we strive to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction. To do this, we offer warranties that vary from product to product. We also stand by every project we complete. If there is an issue, we want to know about it, so we can make it right. We handle repairs for any project we’ve previously installed.

The M&M Glass Difference
